The Norwalk PE and Competition Center serves as the main gym for the District’s 2,000 high school students. NPECC was part of a larger reimagining of the southern portion of the existing High School that included renovations to select areas of the existing adjacent High School and Eastview buildings along with associated site development and site improvements.
The Addition includes a new gymnasium/competition center with an upper level running track. Within this area are a strength room, cardio/agility room and varsity wrestling room as well as support spaces such as locker rooms, offices and a trainer’s room. The addition also includes five new classrooms and a large multi-use space with two additional breakout spaces. Visitors are welcomed into the addition through a new entry experience and continue to the athletic spaces through a new lobby and the Norwalk High School Hall of Fame.
